GOBI MANCHURIAN GRAVY

helathy_foodTamil cuisine is wonderful to taste. It is a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, savory and salty flavors. Another cuisine honored by the world is the Chinese cuisine, which is soft on the palate and creates fun for foodies with its unique flavors. Here is a Tamil recipe with a Chinese dash.

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower – 1 medium size
  • Onion – 2 nos in big size
  • Tomatoes – 2 nos in big size
  • Ginger garlic paste- 2 teaspoon
  • Capsicum- one
  • Oil – one cup
  • Corn powder – ¼ cup
  • Chilly powder – 2 to 3 tablespoon
  • Dhaniya powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt – for taste

Method to prepare gravy:

First clean the cauliflower and make it into small pieces. Put them in hot water, add a pinch of salt and soak for 5 minutes.

Then remove it from water and keep it aside for 30 minutes so that the moisture will be removed from it.

Take a pan and pour some oil in it. Take cauliflower in a vessel and add ginger garlic paste, a pinch of salt, corn flour along with some chilli powder to that.

Mix it nicely and then fry them in oil and keep it separately.

Take a frying pan, add oil, then add onion, tomato to that and fry it nicely till it changes to brown colour. Add ginger garlic paste to that and fry it for some time. Then add capsicum in that to get the gravy.

After frying everything nicely add chilli powder, dhaniya powder and cumin powder to that gravy and allow to fry for 5 minutes till the aroma changes. Then add fried cauliflower to that.

Keep the flame in slim and when it fries nicely add salt to that gravy depending upon the taste. Add the corn flour and mix it with water nicely without lumps. Then pour the flour into the gravy and mix it nicely. Allow the gravy for 5 minutes in minimum flame.

Somebody likes tomato sauce for taste. So if it is necessary you can also add it for taste. Now the gravy is ready to serve. Enjoy……….
