At last, New Year has stepped in and parties are going on. Every evening you go out with your friends and eat a lot of foods which are extremely tasty but full of fats – cakes, doughnuts, pastries, chicken, and what not? And for the rest of the day you keep on thinking how you are going to cope up with the extra pounds you will be gaining. Indeed, is there any solution through which you don’t have to resist the temptation of eating yummy foods for the New Year party, and still you keep a healthy weight? Yes, there is – a fat burning salad! If you look around in your kitchen you will find many ingredients, mixing which you can make a healthy salad, which will be ready in minutes and burn fats. And the good point is the recipe is not fixed. Mix the ingredients any way you want! I am just enlisting them here for you. It’s up to you how, in what quantity and how many of them to use.
For the Base
Cooked brown rice, oats, lentils, sprouts, Romaine lettuce, greens, black beans, leaf lettuce, Boston lettuce, watercress, seaweed, radiccio, grated cabbage, cooked quinoa, endive, beetroot, hard-boiled eggs, green beans, kidney beans, white beans.
Tomatoes, strawberries, grated or roasted sweet potato, grated or roasted zucchini, red clover sprouts, apples, bananas, pomegranate seeds, pears, blackberries, raspberries, avocado, grapefruit slices, blueberries, cucumber slices, fresh peas, oranges, olives, lima beans, mung bean sprouts, fenugreek sprouts, Great Northern beans, chickpeas (garbanzo beans), celery, broccoli sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, green, red or yellow bell peppers, finely chopped broccoli, celery roots, edible flowers (violas, nasturtiums, pansies, etc), raw or cooked mushrooms, minced onions, onion sprouts, pea shoots, radishes, scallions.
Olive oil, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar or any homemade dressing of your choice.
Walnuts, sesame seeds, pine nuts, hazelnuts, fresh mint, fresh basil, almond slices, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, fresh parsley, fresh coriander, carrots, herbs like garlic, oregano or thyme.
You can choose one or more from each of these and chop or grate them and mix them to make a delicious fat burning salad. Eat such a healthy salad in the morning and you won’t have to worry about the New Year party food in the evening. Enjoy!
